It’s a five day journey meant to inspire people.

250 torchbearers will help carry the two Parapan Am flames through 12 communities. The torch stopped in Hamilton this morning to get people excited about the largest Parapan Am Games that have ever been held.

The torch relay continued at the David Braley Sport Medicine & Rehabilitation Centre. That’s where Joe Boudreau, a Canadian wheelchair rugby player passed on the Parapan Am flame to Gary Saxon, a visually impaired golfer.

There’s another torch that’s also being carried in Belleville. The two torches will be carried on a path that will lead them both to Toronto to the opening ceremonies of the Parapan Am Games on August 7th.

The torch will visit Bayfront Park tonight at 7.
