Pair from Norfolk face 9 charges
Two Norfolk residents face a slew of narcotics and weapons charges.
The OPP’s Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, Provincial Weapons Enforcement Unit, Drug Enforcement Unit, the Norfolk OPP Crime Unit, the OPP’s Emergency Response Team and an OPP canine unit executed a search warrant Wednesday morning.
Police seized several firearms – including a sawed-off shotgun – ammunition, methamphetamine, marijuana and equipment related to drug trafficking.
The value of the items seized is estimated at $35,000.
34-year-old Johan Guenther and 33-year-old Elizabeth Guenther have been charged with three counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm, two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking, two counts of possessing a restricted firearm, breach of firearm regulations, and possessing a firearm with an altered serial number.
