Paikin named Hamilton Citizen of the Year

Home builder Jeff Paikin was named Hamilton’s Citizen of the Year for 2013.

The Hamilton Chamber of Commerce held its annual community awards banquet last night at Liuna Station.

Paikin is the president of New Horizon Homes and co-owner of the Hamilton Bulldogs .

The chamber says Paikin was chosen because he is spear-heading downtown development, and is also the driving force behind numerous charitable causes in the community.

The youth volunteer of the year was awarded to 17 year old Jackson Virgin, a grade 12 student at Westdale Secondary School.
