Packing them in on Locke Street

The threat of rain didn’t discourage people from attending the Locke Street Festival in Hamilton on Saturday.

Hundreds of people packed the small street as people took in the event, being entertained by a variety of the sights, sounds, smells and tastes. Buskers played and magicians entertained the crowds, and most people took in some tasty treats from a number of the food shops that reside on the street.

Vendors lined the street as people mingled and shopped at their favourite stalls, checking out the arts and crafts and other wares.

The Locke Street Festival is one of the largest one-day street festivals in the province.
