Owner of collapsed Bangladesh factory arrested

The owner of the building that collapsed in Bangladesh was captured at a border crossing with India.

Officials say he was arrested and flown by helicopter to the capital of Bangladesh where he faces charges of negligence. At least 370 deaths have been confirmed after the eight-story building collapsed, and the death toll is expected to rise.

Meanwhile, people in Dhaka today held a protest over working conditions in the garment industry. They formed a human chain outside the office of the bangladesh garments manufacturing association.

Officials from Loblaw will attend a meeting in Bangladesh tomorrow over the work conditions in the county. Items from the Joe Fresh clothing line are made at the now destroyed factory.
