Overnight fire in Burlington

Fire officials say a downtown Burlington restaurant suffered $50,000 in damages after an overnight fire.

Crews were called to *Eatalia* restaurant on Brant Street just after 11 Wednesday night.

The fire reportedly started in the staff washroom and spread through the back of the restaurant.

One employee who tried to put out the flames was treated for slight smoke inhalation.

According to a tweet from management at Eatalia, they hope to re-open for the weekend.
