Overnight beating in Hamilton

Hamilton police are trying to determine who assaulted a man near a downtown bar overnight.

The victim was treated at Hamilton General Hospital for facial and head injuries.

For several hours overnight, police held the scene where the attack took place on MacNab Street, north of York Boulevard.

No one has been arrested.
