Over the edge

[projekktor id=’19668′]
Miranda Anthistle took part in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hamilton and Burlington’s second annual “Over the Edge” event. Also helping to kick off VIP day was Hamilton Police Chief Glenn De Caire and councillor Lloyd Ferguson. They rappelled 26 storeys down the side of Hamilton’s tallest commercial building at 100 King street west, which is the former Stelco tower.
The event was started to raise awareness and bring attention to the charity’s need for more volunteers and funds to keep its mentoring program alive and strong in the community. Last year’s event raised over $100 000 and they hope to do even better this year.
The main event begins tomorrow at 10 am and goes until 4 pm. 66 people are registered, but there are still a few more spots left.
