Ford Motor Company is recalling over 634,000 SUV vehicles globally because its cracked fuel injector can leak fuel or vapours onto a hot engine, which can cause fires.

The recall covers Escape and Bronco Sport SUV’s from 2020 through to the 2023 models with 1.5 litre, three-cylinder engines.

Owners of said models are recommended to stop driving the vehicles and to park them outdoors to reduce the risk of setting the engine on fire.

On Nov. 18, Ford also announced a recall of more than 550,000 F-150 trucks in the U.S. and Canada because the front windshield wiper was not working.

Ford had said the recall was made as it could cause drivers to have difficulty clearing their windshield during bad weather, which could lead to a higher risk for crashes.
