Ottawa called to help C. difficile outbreak

Ontario is looking for Ottawa’s help to battle a C. Difficile outbreak.

The province reached out to federal government on behalf of the Niagara Region Public Health Department and the Niagara Health System.

So far, 17 people in the region’s hospitals have died because of the outbreak.

The Public Health Agency of Canada says it has sent a field epidemiologist to the Niagara region to help investigate the deadly superbug.
