OSSTF president Ken Coran to run in upcoming byelection
The president of one of Ontario’s largest teachers’ union will run as the Liberal candidate in an upcoming byelection in London.
President of the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation, Ken Coran, will be acclaimed in a Liberal nomination meeting on Tuesday in London West. Riding association president Scott Courtice says Coran’s name was the only one put forward by the nomination committee following an extensive search.
The seat has been vacant since Chris Bentley left in February.
Coran has lived in London for nearly 40 years and has been a long-time member of the London West Provincial Liberals Association.
Premier Kathleen Wynne has until August 15th to call byelections in Windsor and London.
