‘Oskee wee wee baby!’: Tabbies Nation turns up for Labour Day

In classic Labour Day tradition, hundreds of excited Ticat fans flooded the parking lots surrounding Tim Hortons Field for the pre-game tailgate party.

“I love this tailgate. It’s Hamilton-born … I’m Hamilton-born.. Oskee wee wee baby!” a rambunctious fan said to CHCH News ahead of the game.

The annual showdown marks the 10-year anniversary of the game being hosted at Tim Hortons Field.

Hundreds of fans gathered together and spent the day playing games, dancing, listening to music and getting some food on the grill.

Set-up for many of the diehard fans who organize the gatherings can start as early as 7 a.m.

This years game marks the 53rd showdown between the Ticats and Argonauts.

With the Ticats securing a win over the Argo’s, Monday’s festivities are sure to continue into the night.
