Orillia teen drowns

Child endangerment charges have been laid against an Orillia couple in the drowning of a 14-year-old boy.

Alexander Montgomery drowned Sunday at Niagara State Park in New York.

Police say the couple is accused of giving the boy alcohol.

50 year old Peter Cooper and 48 year old Paula Montgomery, who is said to be the boy’s mother, have both been charged.
