OPP seek wanted federal offender known to frequent Niagara

Ontario Provincial Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a wanted federal offender known to frequent the Niagara region for the second breach in his statutory release since July.

Joseph William Camus is currently wanted on Canada-Wide Warrant for a breach of his statutory release e while serving a two year, one month sentence for two counts of break and enter, mischief in relation to other property.

Camus, 40, is described as a white man, five-foot-nine, 215 pounds, with salt and pepper hair and hazel eyes who police say is known to grow “scruffy” goatees.

He has numerous tattoos, including the name “Ann Marie” on the back of his neck, a cross on his left forearm, a flaming skull on his left hand and a spider on his right hand.

Camus is known to frequent the St. Catharines and Niagara Falls areas.

This is not the first time he has been wanted for a breach of release. An initial warrant was issued by the OPP in July of this year for a breach at that time.
