Police are offering a $100,000 reward in relation to the abduction of a 37-year-old woman from a home in Wasaga Beach exactly a year ago.

Elnaz Hajtamiri was abducted on Jan. 12, 2022 from a relative’s home by three men dressed in police gear.

She was hiding out at a relative’s house after receiving several threats.

“Nothing weighs more heavily on our souls than the idea that we may never know what happened to Elnaz,” Elnaz’s mother, Fariba Hajtamiri said. “We know there are people out there who have information and who may be contemplating whether to come forward. We pray that you will do the right thing and help us out of this suffering and bring justice for Elnaz.”

The reward is being offered by the OPP in conjunction with York Regional Police.

Police are looking for three men wanted in relation to the abduction.

They showed up at the house in Wasaga Beach wearing police gear and kidnapped Hajtamiri.

A year later, the victim has yet to be located and members of her family as well as police continue to appeal for any information.
