OPP lay 346 impaired driving charges over the holiday season

Ontario Provincial Police laid hundreds of impaired driving charges over the holiday season.
Numbers released by the OPP show provincial officers laid 346 impaired driving charges between Dec. 20 and the morning of Jan. 4.
The charges include drug and alcohol impairment.
Police say 141 charges were laid for street racing or stunt driving in this same period.

Just after releasing this information, OPP tweeted about another street racing charge.
Police say an 18-year-old driver was clocked travelling 183km/h on the QEW in St. Catharines Monday morning.
The vehicle was impounded and the driver’s license was suspended for a week.
