OPP investigating armed robbery at Caledon gas station

Caledon police are searching for a suspect after a gas station was robbed at gunpoint Sunday evening.

A man was dropped off outside the Canadian Tire gas bar on McEwan Drive in Caledon in a white pick-up truck.

He entered the store and told the attendant his car had broken down and he needed to charge his cell phone.

The suspect then took the attendants car keys and showed a black handgun which was tucked into his waistband.

He fled in the stolen car that is described as a 4-door, 2007 Silver Volkswagen Golf, with a loud muffler, tinted windows and licence plate CAJP 743.

The suspect is described as a white male, 18 – 25 years old, slim build, wearing a dark toque, red jacket and dark pants.
