Norfolk OPP along with the Ontario Fire Marshall are investigating a suspicious fire in Townsend.

On Monday, around 6:30 a.m. OPP and Norfolk fire department responded to a house fire on Cockshutt Rd.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading, however the fire caused extensive damage to the home.

OPP Crime unit is asking anyone with information about this incident to contact them at 1-88-310-1122.
