OPP investigates theft of playground equipment from school

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating the theft of playground equipment from a school in Perth County.

Police were called to a school on Binning St. West in Listowel on Feb. 10.

Police learned two people had gone to the playground area just before 6:30 a.m. and cut the unique rope swing set.

The damage is estimated at $5,000.

Police are looking to speak with two people of interest – a female wearing dark clothing and a tall male wearing construction vest or coat.

They were seen dragging the swing on Campbell St. West.

Police are asking anyone with surveillance cameras in the area to check their footage.
