OPP investigates fatal crash in Huron County

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a fatal crash in Huron County.

It happened shortly before 1 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Newry Rd. and McDonald Line in Huron East.

Police say a SUV was travelling eastbound on Newry Rd. when it left the roadway, crashed into a ditch and rolled. It eventually came to a rest upright in the intersection.

The driver, a 21-year-old woman, was taken to hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

OPP has identified the victim as Sydney Dietrich-Illsley, of Brussels.
