OPP investigates after trespasser uses homeowner’s hot tub

Police in Perth County say a “harmless prank” is going to cost a homeowner time and money after a trespasser used a resident’s hot tub.
Just after midnight on July 13, a man went to a home on Line 87 and hopped in the homeowner’s hot tub.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) says the stranger left their clothes behind.
They say while the late-night dip may have intended to be a harmless prank, the owner now has to drain the hot tub and clean it due to sanitary concerns.
The trespasser is described as white, between 20 and 30 years of age, average height, and a small build.
The Perth County OPP is encouraging the public to be aware, and report any suspicious activity to police immediately.
They say residents should consider installing security features, such as increased lighting, good-quality cameras, or alarms.
