OPP investigates after man on bike sexually assaults victim on trail

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating after a victim was sexually assaulted by a man in Fergus.

It happened around 9 a.m. Friday on the Elora Cataract Trailway just east of Gartshore St.

Police say a female was on the trail when she was sexually assaulted by a man on a bike. The suspect fled the area and was last seen riding east towards Fergus.

Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the man.

He is described as white, roughly five-foot-ten, 150 lbs, with a round face, some facial hair on his upper lip and chin, and thin lips. The man was wearing black reading glasses, a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and a black beanie-style hat.
