OPP investigate fatal crash in Hagersville as family raises money for information

OPP are asking for information as they continue to investigate a fatal fail-to-remain crash in Hagersville last month.
Officers were called to a crash on King St. West around 9 p.m. on Friday Apr. 23.
Police say a motorcyclist was travelling westbound on King St., near Sarah St., when he was struck by a driver in an SUV, which was also travelling westbound. The motorcyclist was thrown off his bike.
23-year-old Alexander Dalton, of Hagersville, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the SUV did not remain and the vehicle was later found abandoned on Ojibway Rd.
A GoFundMe has been created to raise money for a reward for information to find and convict those responsible.
Over $20,000 has been raised so far.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or has footage or information to contact them at 1-888-310-1122.
