OPP investigate Beamsville multi-vehicle crash involving transport truck

Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a multi-vehicle collision in Beamsville Wednesday night involving a transport truck and two cars.

Shortly before 9 p.m., emergency crews from the Niagara region arrived at the scene near Ontario St. on the QEW Toronto-bound.

Paramedics noticed a vehicle in the centre median before seeing a damaged car flipped over in the opposite ditch. A CHCH News freelancer says witnesses reported the driver of that vehicle hopped the fence on the North Service Rd. and ran away.

OPP believe alcohol may have been a factor.

No one was seriously injured as a result of the crash.
