OPP find driver asleep at traffic light, man charged with drunk driving

Ontario Provincial Police have charged a 60-year-old man with impaired driving after he was allegedly caught asleep at the wheel of a vehicle.

Officers were called to an intersection on County Road 20 West in Kingsville around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Police say the driver was showing signs of impairment and was arrested on scene.

John Omstead, of Kingsville, is facing two charges and is scheduled to appear in a Windsor court on Oct. 31.

Omstead’s driver’s license was suspended and his vehicle was impounded
