OPP reopens roads in Haldimand County following brief investigation

Haldimand OPP briefly closed portions of roads in Haldimand County as part of an investigation that resolved earlier Thursday afternoon.

Officers posted on X at just around 12:30 p.m. saying portions of roads in Haldimand County are closed for an investigation.

Haldimand fire services arrived on the scene to investigate a possible leak detected from a rail car.

The post asked the public to avoid the area as the investigation was ongoing.

The roads closed are, Yule Road and Concession 9, Sandusk Road and Concession 9, Sundusk Road and Concession 8, and Regional Road 55 and Concession 8 Walpole.

A post by OPP at just after 1:10 p.m. declared that the issue was resolved and that the roads would reopen shortly.
