OPP charge teen for driving over 230km/h in Brant County

An 18-year-old Mississauga driver has been charged after they were caught travelling more than 230 km/h on Highway 403 in Brant County last weekend.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say the teen was pulled over in their sibling’s Audi shortly before 7:30 p.m. for speeding 130 km/h over the limit.

The normal posted speed limit on the highway is 100 km/h.
OPP say Somtochukwu Chijioke Okonkwo is facing five charges, including dangerous operation and failure to surrender insurance card.
Police say the driver’s licence of the teen has been suspended for 30 days and the vehicle has been impounded for two weeks.
