OPP charge man after mountain of beer cans found in vehicle

A 61-year-old man has been charged after Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police found a mountain of beer cans sitting on his passenger seat.
OPP were conducting a RIDE program in Georgian Bluffs when they saw a driver showing signs of impairment.
When the officer approached the vehicle window, they noticed the enormous amount of empty beer cans, which violates readily available open liquor laws.

Mark Sewell was arrested and charged with eight separate offences, including:
- Operation while impaired
- Operation while impaired (80 plus)
- Four counts of operation while prohibited
- Four counts of driving while under suspension
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Use plate not authorized for vehicle
- Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available
- Operate a motor vehicle without insurance
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound at a later date.
