OPP attempt high-risk takedown in Ancaster

Ontario Provincial Police say a suspect is still at large after officers attempted a high-risk takedown in Ancaster.
It happened around 8 p.m. Monday at the Esso gas station at 1136 Golf Links Rd.
OPP were involved in a ‘multi-agency investigation’ when plain clothes officers attempted to stop a suspect on Golf Links Rd.
Police say they conducted a high-risk takedown during which shots were fired.
OPP Staff Sergeant Carolle Dionne said she could not confirm if anyone was injured as a result of the gun shots.
Police say there are no public safety concerns at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.
