OPP amazed driver walked away from crash in Norfolk County

Ontario provincial police (OPP) say they are amazed that a driver walked after crashing their car into a house.
On Tuesday, May 31 at around 5:59 a.m., police responded to a vehicle collision at a Highway 24, Woodhouse, Norfolk County address.
Police say a 24-year-old of Norfolk was driving on Highway 24 between Vittoria Road and United Church Road when they lost control, hit a guide wire and rolled the vehicle through the front of an unoccupied house. The vehicle came to rest at the front of the property.

A Good Samaritan driving by observed the vehicle and the damaged home and contact police.
Police say it was discovered that the driver had left the location earlier and returned home to an address in Norfolk and contact police. The driver was transported to a local area hospital by ambulance to be treated for minor injuries.
The OPP is continuing to investigate, however speed is being considered as a contributing factor.
