Ontario’s auditor general releases annual report of environment audits

Ontario’s auditor general released her report on environment audits on Monday.

The ministry of environment was the focus of the auditor general’s latest report and it was a damning one.

In last year’s report, Lysyk said the province might not meet its emissions targets because the government wasn’t prioritizing them.

She is set to answer questions about her findings alongside her new assistant auditor general and commissioner of the environment.

Tyler Shulz was appointed to the role last month.

The office of the auditor general watches over the administration of Ontario’s finances to help the Legislature hold the government accountable.
