It was a sparsely attended session at Queens Park with only 24 members of parliament present to allow for social distancing. The premier started with mapping out how the province “has Ontarians backs” including waiving municipal noise by-laws to allow supply trucks to stock shelves 24-hours a day. The premier hopes that eases any anxieties that have led to “panic buying” of non-perishable foods and supplies like toilet paper. He also introduced changes to existing laws that would allow workers to take a leave of absence without a doctor’s note the only catch it’ll be unpaid.
