Free COVID-19 rapid antigen tests to be distributed at grocery stores, pharmacies

The Ontario government plans to distribute free COVID-19 rapid antigen tests at grocery stores, pharmacies and other settings.
There will be a limit of one box of five tests per household per visit, but some settings may have different processes.
The province offered free rapid antigen test kits at liquor stores and malls in December before the holiday season.
Ontario has directly procured more rapid tests and will hand out 5.5 million each week.
The news comes weeks after the province restricted access to PCR tests as the Omicron variant overwhelmed capacity.
