Ontario reports 870 COVID-19 cases and 10 deaths

Ontario reported 870 cases of COVID-19 and 10 deaths on Thursday.
The reported positivity rate is 2.8 per cent ,with the province completing 34,277 tests in the last day.
Ontario is reporting 870 cases of #COVID19 and nearly 34,300 tests completed. Locally, there are 225 new cases in Toronto, 167 in Peel and 49 in the Porcupine Health Unit region.
As of 8:00 p.m. yesterday, 9,493,005 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered.

There are 729 patients in hospital with COVID-19 across Ontario, up from the 708 reported on Wednesday.
The number of people in ICU is down to 546, with 370 of them on ventilators.
The death toll is now 8,801 people.
150,884 vaccine doses were administered on Wednesday, for a total of nearly 9.5 million doses given. There are 834,981 people in Ontario who have received both required doses.
Another 1,563 cases have been marked as resolved.
