Ontario reports 827 new COVID-19 cases, four new deaths

Ontario is reporting 827 new cases of COVID-19 and four new deaths.
The province completed 23,945 tests, according to the report released Tuesday. Another 22,636 tests are backlogged.
Once again, the majority of the province’s cases were reported in Toronto, Peel, York and Ottawa.
Ontario is reporting 827 cases of #COVID19. Locally, there are 355 new cases in Toronto, 169 in Peel, 89 in York Region and 58 in Ottawa. There are 691 more resolved cases and over 23,900 tests completed.

The death toll is now 3,103, with three of the new deaths reported in long-term care residents.
Another 691 cases have been marked as resolved putting the number of known active cases at 7,418.
Hospitalizations are up to 312. There are 75 patients in intensive care and 52 of those are on ventilators.

Haldimand-Norfolk: 5 new cases, 30 active cases
Brant: 4 new cases, 24 active cases, 2 in hospital
Niagara: 7 new cases, 102 active cases, 3 in hospital
Halton: 23 new cases, 226 active cases, 13 in hospital
Hamilton: 7 new cases, 141 active cases, 4 in hospital
Another 144 cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Ontario schools.
