Ontario reports 446 new cases of COVID-19

Ontario reported 446 new cases Monday, bringing the total to 28, 709 – and increase of 1.6 per cent.
Monday’s tally marks the highest daily increase in a week.
More than 78 per cent of those cases are resolved.
The province reported adding 17 deaths, bringing the death toll to 2,293.
The number of patients currently hospitalized with COVID-19 is 891, with 125 of those in ICU and 87 on ventilators.
Meanwhile, Premier Doug Ford is expected to ask the provincial legislature today to extend Ontario’s emergency orders until the end of June.
