Ontario reports 419 new cases of COVID-19, no new deaths

Ontario is reporting 419 new COVID-19 cases Friday and no new deaths.
Health Minister Christine Elliott says 279 of the infected people are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status. She says 140 of the cases are in fully vaccinated people.
The data is based on 29,592 tests completed on the previous day.
The province says 21,170 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine were administered in the last 24-hour period for a total of more than 22.4 million.
Elliott says nearly 88.1 per cent of Ontarians aged 12 and older have received one dose and 84.3 per cent have two doses.
She says 211 people are currently in hospital due to COVID-19. Of those in hospital, 182 are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status and 29 are fully vaccinated.
There are currently 130 patients in intensive care with COVID-related critical illnesses and 89 on ventilators.
Of the province’s 626 long-term care homes, at least three are in an outbreak.
An active COVID-19 outbreak indicates that the home has at least one lab-confirmed case of COVID-19 (in resident or staff) and the local public health unit or the home has declared an outbreak.
