Ontario reports 413 new cases of COVID-19 Thursday

Ontario is reporting 413 new COVID-19 cases Thursday and 31 more deaths.
The province has now recorded a total of 24,187 cases of the virus and 1,993 deaths.
Thursday’s new cases represent an increase of 1.7 per cent over Wednesday.
There are now 984 people in hospital with COVID-19 and 155 patients in intensive care units (ICU). Of those in the ICU, 117 are on a ventilator to assist with breathing.
Three more outbreaks have been declared at long-term care homes in the province, bringing the total to 287.
There were 10,506 tests completed in the previous day and 5,051 still remain under investigation. The province has completed a total of 577,682 tests since Jun. 15.
As of Wednesday, Niagara Region was reporting 623 confirmed cases, Halton Region had 595, and Hamilton had 602.
