Ontario reports 401 new cases of COVID-19 Thursday

Ontario is reporting 401 new cases of COVID-19 Thursday, including 16 more deaths.
Twenty-six outbreaks have been reported in long-term care homes including a Hagersville long term care centre and a Bobcaygeon nursing home where 16 people have died and at least 24 staff members are infected.
There are now 2,793 cases of COVID-19 in the province, including 53 deaths and 831 resolved cases.
Four new cases of the virus have been confirmed in Six Nations of the Grand River territory, bringing the total to seven.
Hamilton’s number of cases rose slightly to 112 on Thursday while Halton and Niagara regions jumped to 81 and 82 respectively.
Ontario announced $2.7 million for community agencies to support victims of domestic violence and other violent crimes during the pandemic.
The province is also investing $1.3 million in technology to help courts and tribunals operate remotely.
