Ontario reports 3,887 COVID-19 cases, 21 deaths

Ontario reported 3,887 cases of COVID-19 and 21 deaths on Friday.
The reported positivity rate is 7.4 per cent, while the province says 53,074 tests were completed in the last day.
Ontario is reporting 3,887 cases of #COVID19 and nearly 53,100 tests completed. Locally, there are 1,331 new cases in Toronto, 871 in Peel, 267 in York Region, 208 in Durham and 204 in Hamilton.

- 17,147 total cases — up 181 from Thursday

Niagara
- 13,816 total cases — up 112 from Thursday
- 10,352 resolved cases
- 3,072 active cases
- 82 in hospital
- 392 deaths — up one from Thursday
Brant
- 2,696 total cases — up 36 from Thursday
- 2,477 resolved cases
- 202 active cases
- 17 deaths
- 17 in hospital
Haldimand-Norfolk
- 2,285 total cases — up 29 from Thursday
- 1,977 resolved cases
- 262 active cases
- 41 deaths
There are 2,201 patients in hospital with COVID-19 across the province, down from 2,248 reported on Thursday.
The number of patients in ICU is steady at 883, with 632 on ventilators, which is up 12 from Thursday.
There were 112,214 vaccine doses administered in the province on Thursday.
There are 371,110 people in Ontario who have received both required vaccine doses.
Another 4,242 cases have been marked as resolved.
