Ontario reports 296 COVID-19 cases and 13 deaths

Ontario reported 296 cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, the lowest daily case count since September.
It comes as the province completed 17,162 tests in the last day. The reported positivity rate is 2.3 per cent.
Ontario is reporting 296 cases of #COVID19 and nearly 17,200 tests completed. Locally, there are 62 new cases in Peel, 60 in Toronto, 45 in Waterloo, 15 in York Region and 13 in Halton.

There are 433 people in hospital with COVID-19 across Ontario. There are 382 patients in ICU due to COVID-19 related issues. 244 of the ICU patients are on ventilators.
Another 13 deaths were reported, bringing the death toll to 8,974 people.
The province administered 184,989 vaccines on Monday. Most of those were second doses.
There are over two million people in the province who have received both required doses.
Another 645 cases have been marked as resolved.
