Ontario reports 2,941 COVID-19 cases and 44 deaths

Ontario reported 2,941 cases of COVID-19 and 44 deaths on Wednesday.
The reported positivity rate is 6.6 per cent, while the province says it completed 45,767 tests in the last day.
Ontario is reporting 2,941 cases of #COVID19 and nearly 45,800 tests completed. Locally, there are 924 new cases in Toronto, 565 in Peel, 254 in York Region, 171 in Durham and 149 in Hamilton.

- 2,379 total cases — up 29 from Tuesday

- 253 active cases
- 41 deaths
Another 4,361 cases have been marked as resolved.
There are 2,075 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 across Ontario. There are 882 people in ICU and 620 of them are on ventilators.
The province administered 132,603 vaccine doses on Tuesday. Nearly 5.6 million vaccine doses have been administered.
There are 381,123 people in the province who have received both required doses.
