Ontario reports 255 COVID-19 cases and 11 deaths, new record for daily vaccinations

Ontario reported 255 cases of COVID-19 and 11 deaths on Wednesday as the province set another record for vaccine doses.
The reported positivity rate is 1.2 per cent, with the province completing 27,364 tests in the last day.
A record 227,318 vaccine doses were administered on Tuesday. Nearly 200,000 of those were second doses.
There are 3,343,744 people in the province who have received both required doses.
Ontario is reporting 255 cases of #COVID19 and nearly 27,400 tests completed. Locally, there are 57 new cases in Toronto, 53 in the Region of Waterloo, 25 in Peel Region, 23 in the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit region and 14 in Ottawa.

There are 295 people hospitalized with COVID-19 in Ontario. There are 305 patients in intensive care units because of COVID-related reasons with 190 of them on ventilators.
Ontario reported 11 more deaths from the virus, bringing the death toll to 9,093 people.
Another 460 cases have been marked as resolved.
