Ontario reports 22 new cases of COVID-19

The Ontario Ministry of Health has reported 22 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 including four in Halton and two in Hamilton.

That brings the total number of cases in Ontario to to 212.

In response to the outbreak, Prime Minister Trudeau announced a $82 billion COVID-19 relief package today and Premiere Ford declared a state of emergency for the province on Tuesday.

To help stop the spread of COVID-19, you should avoid being in large groups and self-isolate for 14 days if you’ve been out of Canada.

If you develop a fever and cough and have trouble breathing, you’re asked to go online or call telehealth for an assessment.
