Ontario is reporting 185 new COVID-19 cases Thursday and seven more deaths.

Health Minister Christine Elliott says there are 22 new cases in Grey Bruce, 18 in Toronto, 13 in Peel Region, and 13 in the Region of Waterloo.

There are currently 141 patients in intensive care with COVID-related critical illness and 84 on ventilators.

The province says 125,166 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine were administered Wednesday for a total of more than 18.6 million.

Of the province’s 626 long-term care homes, at least five are in an outbreak including Arbour Creek Long-Term Care Centre in Hamilton, St. Joseph’s Villa in Dundas, and The Village of Tansley Woods in Burlington.

An active COVID-19 outbreak indicates that the home has at least one lab-confirmed case of COVID-19 (in resident or staff) and the local public health unit or the home has declared an outbreak.
