Ontario reports 1,676 new COVID-19 cases, 10 deaths

Ontario is reporting 1,676 new cases of COVID-19 and ten deaths.
The number comes as the province completed 39,198 tests.
Ontario is reporting 1,676 cases of #COVID19 and nearly 39,200 tests completed. Locally, there are 588 new cases in Toronto, 349 in Peel and 141 in York Region. There are 1,549 more resolved cases.

Here’s how the numbers break down in our region:
Haldimand-Norfolk: 4 new cases, 27 active cases
Brant: 4 new case, 48 active cases, 5 in hospital
Niagara: 34 new cases, 228 active cases, 13 in hospital
Hamilton: 75 new cases, 634 active active cases, 1 death, 48 in hospital
Halton: 92 new cases, 421 active cases, 24 in hospital
These numbers are based on data reported by each public health unit.
There are 794 people in hospital across the province. That’s up from 725 patients reported on Monday. There are 219 patients in intensive care, with 132 of those on ventilators.
There are have been 3,808 COVID-19 deaths in Ontario, including nearly 2,400 in residents in long-term care homes.
Another 1,549 cases are resolved. Overall, 84.8 per cent of the province’s COVID-19 cases are resolved.
There are 16,151 known active cases of COVID-19 in Ontario.
There were 333 new cases reported in the province’s schools. This reflects cases reported from Friday afternoon to Monday afternoon.
