Ontario reports 1,426 new COVID-19 cases, 15 deaths

Ontario is reporting 1,426 new cases of COVID-19 and 15 deaths.
This set a new record for daily new cases, beating the one set on Tuesday when the province reported 1,388 new cases.
The results come as 36,707 tests were completed.
Ontario is reporting 1,426 cases of #COVID19. Locally, there are 468 new cases in Peel, 384 in Toronto, 180 in York Region, 63 in Durham and 62 in Hamilton. There are 886 more resolved cases and over 36,700 tests completed.

Here’s how the numbers break down in our region:
Haldimand-Norfolk: 0 new cases, 24 active cases
Brant: 4 new cases, 72 active cases, 2 in hospital
Halton: 45 new cases, 476 active cases, 2 deaths, 14 in hospital
Niagara: 28 new cases, 279 active cases, 1 death, 3 in hospital
Six Nations: no active cases
Hamilton: 44 new cases, 382 active cases, 2 deaths, 18 in hospital
The overall resolved rate for COVID-19 in the province is 84.2 per cent, as another 886 cases were marked as resolved.
There are 424 people in hospital across the province. Of those, 88 are in intensive care and 57 of those are on ventilators.
The total number of COVID-19 deaths is 3,275.
Another 198 cases have been reported in the province’s schools.
