Ontario reports 1,273 COVID-19 cases, 14 deaths

Ontario reported 1,273 cases of COVID-19 and 14 deaths on Friday, as the province announced an update to its vaccination plan.

The daily case count comes as the province completed 40,866 tests.
Ontario is reporting 1,273 cases of #COVID19 and nearly 40,900 tests completed. Locally, there are 269 new cases in Toronto, 268 in Peel, 101 in Ottawa, 78 in Hamilton and 72 in Durham.
As of 8:00 p.m. yesterday, 8,690,473 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered.

- 3,221 total cases — up 15 from Thursday

Haldimand-Norfolk
- 2,635 total cases — up ten from Thursday
- 2,536 resolved cases
- 48 active cases
- 45 deaths
There were 159,775 vaccines administered on Thursday, for a total of nearly 8.7 million doses.
There are 1,023 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 across Ontario. There are 645 people in intensive care units with 458 of them on ventilators.
Another 2,362 cases have been marked as resolved.
