Ontario reports 1,242 new COVID-19 cases, 12 deaths

Ontario is reporting 1,242 new cases of COVID-19 and 12 deaths.
This is the fourth straight day the province has had quadruple-digit new cases.
Monday’s results come as Ontario completed 28,401 tests, putting the positivity rate at just under 4.4 per cent.
Ontario is reporting 1,242 cases of #COVID19. Locally, there are 483 new cases in Toronto, 279 in Peel, 107 in York Region, 74 in Ottawa and 57 in Hamilton. There are 821 more resolved cases and over 28,400 tests completed.

Here’s how the numbers break down in our region:
Haldimand-Norfolk: 6 new cases, 26 active cases
Brant:7 new cases, 84 active cases, 2 in hospital
Niagara: 18 new cases, 235 active cases, 1 death, 3 in hospital
Halton: 61 new cases, 434 active cases, 1 death, 10 in hospital
Hamilton: 67 new cases, 364 active cases, 1 death
Hamilton is dealing with 19 active outbreaks, including nine at long-term care homes.
Another 821 cases have been marked as resolved province-wide.
A total of 3,245 people have died. 2,069 of those were residents of long-term care homes.
There are 367 people in hospital with the virus, however the province says 42 hospitals did not report their data over the weekend.
There are 84 people in intensive care, while 54 of those patients are on a ventilator.
