Ontario reports 1,076 COVID-19 cases, 18 deaths

Ontario reported 1,076 cases of COVID-19 and 18 deaths on Friday, as the province plans to announce more details about removing the stay-at-home order on some regions.
The daily case total comes as the province completed 62,012 tests. It puts the reported positivity rate, which takes into account the date tests were performed, at 2.2 per cent.
Ontario is reporting 1,076 cases of #COVID19 and over 62,000 tests completed. Locally, there are 361 new cases in Toronto, 210 in Peel and 122 in York Region.
As of 8:00 p.m. yesterday, 442,441 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered.

Another 1,415 cases of the virus have been marked as resolved.
Local numbers will be added when public health units update their data.

The number of patients hospitalized is down from 883 reported on Thursday to 763. There are 295 patients in ICU, with 204 of them on ventilators.
There are 275 confirmed cases of the B.1.1.7 variant (U.K. variant) and three confirmed cases of the B.1.351 variant (South African variant).
The province says it administered another 15,605 doses of COVID-19 vaccines on Thursday. That brings the total number of vaccine doses given to 442,441.
There are 151,282 people who have received both required doses and are fully vaccinated.
